We are launching a new Sixth Grade class this year as the beginning of our new Middle School! Seventh Grade will be added in 2010, and Eighth in 2011. The focus of our middle school program will be on the skills that students will need as successful workers and citizens in the 21st century, such as math, science, engineering, and effective communication.
The mission of The Branch School is to provide a strong educational environment where the inherent God-given abilities of children are acknowledged and nurtured.
As you can see from our Mission Statement, children are the center of everything we do at The Branch School, a private school in West Houston. Their interests and needs form the basis of all instruction. Our program is focused not only on the excitement of discovery but also on the development of the whole child, cherishing each student as an individual with unique talents. We provide our students with a strong academic program, partnered with a curriculum that encourages critical thinking and the development of problem-solving skills. This thinking curriculum allows students to apply the skills that they are learning to solve problems and express their ideas creatively in projects and presentations. Our balanced approach ensures that lessons take root and that our students learn on a much deeper level.
